Palamo Studio

About Us

We believe AI adoption shouldn't require a leap of faith. We're a small, bilingual collective — AI operations and finance — that helps mid-market companies deploy AI and manage the finances around it, with the governance, measurement, and accountability that leadership and regulators demand.

What We Believe

Rigor Over Speed

We'd rather deploy one governed workflow than three unauditable ones. Every automation ships with guardrails, measurement, and a rollback plan.

Honest Partnership

We'll tell you if your timeline is unrealistic, your scope is too wide, or a simpler approach will serve you better. Trust is the foundation.

Outcomes Over Output

Lines of code aren't a metric. User adoption, revenue impact, and operational efficiency are. We measure what matters.

Meet the Team

Palamo Studio was founded by Rocio Palma and Hector Alamo — a CFO with 20+ years in corporate finance and a journalist-turned-AI-engineer who spent a decade covering communities that technology often overlooks. The name blends their surnames, reflecting the partnership at the core: financial discipline meets technical depth, English meets Spanish, strategy meets execution. They built Palamo to help companies — especially in Latin America and the US mid-market — adopt AI in a way that's governed, measurable, and built for the people it affects.

Hector Luis Alamo

Hector Luis Alamo

Co-Founder & CTO

Hector spent over a decade in media, as a journalist and most notably as a senior editor at Futuro Media Group, a Pulitzer Prize-winning independent media outlet. He then taught himself to code through Harvard's CS50, earned HarvardX certificates in Data Science & Machine Learning and CS for AI, and built the production system behind The Crash Log, a bilingual AI-powered newsletter covering the consequences of unchecked technology. He now designs governed AI workflows, bilingual content pipelines, and agentic systems that run in production 24/7. He thinks like a journalist and builds like an engineer, which means every system he ships is built for people who ask hard questions.

Rocio Palma

Rocio Palma

Co-Founder, COO & CFO

Rocio turns AI projects into CFO-credible programs. With 20+ years in corporate finance and executive education from Columbia Business School, she brings KPI framing, value tracking, process controls, and decision gates that prevent runaway automation spend. Her career spans NetSuite-driven operations, organizational scaling, and the kind of financial discipline that turns pilot results into leadership-approved budgets. She de-risks AI adoption by aligning technical rollout to financial accountability — where others chase momentum, Rocio builds foundations.

Our Process

Every engagement starts with a Strategic Assessment. Scope expands only when the metrics say so.

Baseline

We measure what the process costs today — hours, dollars, error rate — so "better" has a number to beat. → a baseline scorecard.

1

Design

We architect the workflow before building it: guardrails, human approval gates, and rollback paths mapped up front. → an architecture and governance spec you sign off on.

2

Build

Iterative delivery in weekly increments, with reliability and safety checks running alongside the code, not bolted on after. → a working system, shipped in stages you can see.

3

Instrument

Before go-live: KPI tracking, audit logging, and a live ROI scorecard wired in, so value and risk are visible from day one in production. → an instrumented, audit-ready deployment.

4

Expand

We scale scope only after the delta metrics prove the last step paid off. You get a reusable, governed pattern — not a pile of one-offs. → a validated pattern ready to replicate.

5
